Sleep in Heavenly Peace

Volunteer Opportunity to Show the Love of Christ!

Saturday, April 27 | 8:30am-12:30pm

Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a nationwide organization that provides free beds to children, ages 3-18, that do not have a bed. The Georgetown chapter serves Williamson County. A few weeks ago, Ed and Evelyn Petrere delivered two beds to a single Mom with 6 kids who live less than 2 miles from FBG, 800 block of Ranch Road. The need is literally in our back yard.

The next date to volunteer to help prepare 25 bed kits will be on Saturday, March 16, from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm at 141 Logan Ranch Road in Georgetown. No experience is necessary – Just a heart to serve. Tools, safety gear, and water will be provided; wear comfortable clothes that may get dusty.

GENERATIONS

The definition of generation is “People born and living about the same time, considered as a group.”  Multiple generations attend FBG and it’s our desire to be an intergenerational church, where all the generations get to know each other and worship and serve together. Our Generations Ministry offers opportunities for 55+ and encourages intergenerational ministry and cooperation throughout our church body. We encourage you to use this season of life to wholeheartedly invest in your relationship with Jesus Christ, develop meaningful friendships, and to serve the church body.
