Reality Weekend
The world our kids are growing up in is both exciting and challenging. Every day, they face voices and pressures that shape their friendships, choices, and view of themselves. As parents and as a church, we want to give them wisdom, confidence, and truth that will help them stand strong in Christ.
That’s why I’d love for your child to join us for Reality Weekend 2026 on September 25–26 here at FBG. This is a special event just for 4th and 5th graders designed to help kids build real-world wisdom for their relationships and choices.
Over the weekend, we’ll cover big topics in age-appropriate and engaging ways, including:

Building friendships that honor God

The value of waiting to date
-
Body safety and how to handle risky or uncomfortable situations

The importance of biblical community and the gift of the local church
Kids will experience meaningful teaching, creative activities, and plenty of fun throughout the weekend!
Parent Session
We also invite parents to join us on Saturday at 10:15 AM for a practical session on protecting and equipping your kids. We’ll talk about:

Setting wise boundaries with media (phones, screens, etc.)

How to talk with your kids about sexuality and safety
-
Helping them walk with Jesus through these challenges

Trusted tools and resources to support these conversations at home
